Packing Tips for Long-Term Travels

Packing Tips for Long-Term Travels

Packing to travel long-term can be unnerving, but organizing your luggage, now that’s a whole different story. Overthinking what you should and should not pack until your luggage starts to overflow might get overwhelming and leaves you disorganized or worse, stuck!

From the experience I’ve gained a few years ago, here are a few tips and tricks for an organized bag for long-term travel that will leave you satisfied and stress-free.

CHOOSE THE RIGHT LUGGAGE

You have to decide what type of luggage you want and what’s more comfortable for you, especially for the long-term. Finding the right size should be a priority because it has to be easy to carry around and spacious enough to fit all your needs.

ROLL EVERYTHING

The roll-it method is the most efficient tried-and-true packing method. Rolling clothes as tightly as possible saves a huge amount of space compared to folding. Try it once, and thank me later.

SEPARATE YOUR SHOES

shoes take up a lot of space and trying to keep them separated from your clean clothes is tricky. The best solution is getting a shoe sac, or a separate bag then you can easily place them right on top of everything.

KEEP UNDERGARMENTS TOGETHER

Socks and underwear get easily lost and may even bulk up your luggage. Placing them in a separate compartment together will save space and will be more organized.

TOILETRY KIT IS A MUST

Toiletry and beautification items can be a messy situation but keeping them all in a separate bag or container will be a life-saver.

My final organizational tip is to color-code your separate bags to know exactly which contains what and check your luggage weight. Leave unnecessary items and things you know you won’t need or even wear.
